Elena was very knowledgeable. I have set aside my camera for years since I stay busy and the cell phone takes any spontaneous pics I might want. So I attended to inspire myself to get reacquainted with my camera and some of the techniques. My goal was to watch and listen to how she was working with others to develop their skills. Hope these kinds of workshops can continue.

I went out to meet some other local birdwatchers to locate a rare Brown Booby that was hanging over the water at Temple Lake Park. (I think it?s only the 3rd time one has ever been documented in Bell County, as it?s a palagic species.) It was a windy, rainy day, but there were a lot of migrating birds. I located a couple of these Spotted Sandpipers running the shorelines. The rain and overcast caused a lot of grain in the photo, but I?m a sucker for these guys! When I have more time to edit, I?l
